Tropical Global Restaurante is a halal-certified restaurant at Rua de Sampaio Bruno 10 in downtown Porto (Baixa), open every day from 11:00 to 07:00. It serves Indian food (curry and biryani), kebab and falafel, 21 pizzas, Portuguese dishes such as the francesinha, burgers, pasta and salads, with a full bar. There is no delivery: eat in with table service, or order on WhatsApp and pick up at the counter.

What are the opening hours?

We're open every day from 11:00 until 07:00 the next morning. The kitchen keeps going through the night, so you can have a late dinner or eat in the small hours in downtown Porto. Full hours and map.

Is the restaurant halal?

Yes. Tropical Global is a halal-certified restaurant. If you have a question about a particular dish, ask us at the counter or on WhatsApp.

Do I need to book a table?

No. Most guests walk in. For large groups, book on WhatsApp (+351 920 642 821).

How does it work when I eat in?

A waiter takes your order at the table — you can also order at the counter — and you pay at the end of the meal, by cash, card or MB WAY.

Food and prices

What kind of food do you serve?

Five kitchens on one menu: Indian (curry, biryani, naan and paratha), kebab and falafel (döner, dürüm, pita and kapsalon), 21 pizzas, Portuguese dishes (francesinha, bacalhau à Brás, octopus lagareiro style), plus burgers, pasta and salads. How much does it cost to eat at Tropical Global?

Google lists €10–15 per person. Kebabs start at €6.50, curries at €7.90, biryanis at €11.50, pizzas at €13.50, and the francesinha is €16.90. All prices on the menu.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes — for example mixed vegetable curry, vegetable biryani, falafel (as a döner, dürüm, plate or salad), a veggie burger and several pizzas such as the Margherita and Four Cheese. On the menu, vegetarian dishes carry a leaf symbol.

Do you serve francesinha?

Yes: francesinha with egg and fries, €16.90, in the Portuguese dishes section next to bacalhau à Brás and octopus lagareiro style.

Do you serve alcohol?

Yes. We have beer, wine, sangria, cocktails and gin & tonics. Bar drinks are served in the restaurant; cans and bottles of beer and soft drinks can also be ordered for pickup.

Pickup orders

Do you deliver?

We don't deliver. You can eat in, or order for pickup: choose on the online menu, send the order on WhatsApp and collect it at the counter at the agreed time.

How do I order for pickup?

Open the menu and tap + on the dishes you want. Then tap "View order", add your name and pickup time, and send it on WhatsApp — the message is already written. We confirm there, and you pay when you pick up.

How can I pay?

Cash, card or MB WAY. Eating in, you pay at the end of the meal; for pickup orders, you pay at the counter when you collect. The website doesn't take payments.

What does "meal" mean for kebabs and burgers?

It is the version with fries and a drink (for the döner box, with a drink only). On the online menu every dish shows both prices: dish only, or as a meal.
